Our year of pockets starts here.
What could be a more pleasurable place to start of year of expanding the pockets in life than expanding the pockets of pleasure?
We are taught all the things we should. So many shoulds, everywhere. And they are depleting us in so many ways. In my world, the opposite of shoulds is pleasure.
What brings you pleasure? How can you bring more of that into your life? Can you find the small cracks where the light gets in, where pleasure can enter your life? And can you from there start expanding the pockets of pleasure?
When I look at what brings me pleasure in life, so little is about things that cost me a lot of money. Instead it is about having time to enjoy the small things: a cup of tea, a conversation with a friend, taking a walk in the crisp October air, cuddling with my dog, going to the gym, eating nourishing food, not having to hurry, lighting a fire in the fireplace, candlelight, falling asleep with my cat on my arm.
I encourage you to make a list of things that give you pleasure and to bring them into your life. First, start with a small pocket of pleasure. Then let yourself soften into the expansion of the pocket.
If you want to experience the full Pocket of Pleasure with me, join me in Pockets of Grace, one year of expanding the pockets.
